The Brief: Like everyone else in the world, I have a few issues to work out with my hair. Yes, from first looks, my head of hair seems to be fine — great, actually, considering how thick and bountiful my strands are — but what lies beneath my mane is a terrible bout of flakiness, which is only heightened during wintertime.
I've tried scalp scrubs, tea tree oil, and even salon treatments to no avail, but there's a new kid on the block that's completely transformed my scalp and dry strands for the better. As a fellow Latina, I was more than excited to finally find a product that was formulated with Latinx hair types in mind.
That's when I landed on their Scalp Power-Duo. This kit features two scalp-resurrecting products that will surely replace anything else you have in your haircare arsenal: the brand's Aceite de Moska scalp-remedy oil and the Scalp Masajeador scalp-massaging hair tool.
Let's start off with the scalp oil, because it's impressive. This oil is infused with a bunch of skin-rejuvenating ingredients, and of course, it's a 100% all-natural formula — which smells like a trip to the Amazon, by the way. A few star ingredients in this hair oil include açai oil, aloe vera, castor oil, and chia seed oil, but you can see a full breakdown of the ingredients (and where they’re originally sourced from) on their website.
