  • Stellar suction
  • Easy to use

  • Hair can tangle in roller brush
  • No smart features

What we love about the 11S MAX is how unassumingly amazing it is. It's a beast at sucking up debris and performs just as well as robot vacuums that are twice the price. We’re big fans of its twin side brushes, which help it clean better along the edges compared to most other round robot vacuums.

Agility and Navigation

During our tests with it, the vacuum navigated flawlessly around our space. It dodged dining room chairs, increased its suction speed when it sensed carpet, and its brushes successfully directed dust bunnies to its path. The vacuum didn’t get stuck, and its slim profile helped it to clean under tight spaces. Once its battery runs out (you can expect up to 100 minutes of use), the 11S MAX automatically returns to its charging station.

Suction Strength and Cleaning Performance

This vacuum isn’t the cheapest eufy vacuum on the market; its price floats around $250. Eufy sells a similar vacuum, dubbed the 11S, for approximately $30 cheaper. But that model offers 53% less suction. We think spending a little more for the increased suction is definitely worth it, since the vacuum will clean your floors more effectively.

The reasons we didn’t name this vacuum as our best overall pick was because it wasn’t as durable as Roomba’s vacuum. Its sole roller brush was also more likely to get tangled with hair over the Roomba e5’s. Despite an overabundance of hair trapped in its chute (we weighed 28 grams of debris in the bin after an hour of cleaning) the vacuum still performed like a champ. It didn’t stall or spit any hair out of its chute like other vacuums would have.

Ease of Use

This robot vacuum is extremely easy to use. It doesn't have any "smart" features, so you don't have to worry about pairing it to your Wi-Fi network. You'll likely start it by just pushing the sole button for power that's located at its top.

Although the 11S MAX lacks smart features, it does include a nifty remote control so you can adjust suction speed, enable spot-cleaning mode, or send the vacuum off to clean (immediately or at a set time).

We didn’t find the vacuum’s lack of smart features to be that much of an inconvenience, but if you’d prefer to be able to control your vacuum with your smartphone, Alexa, or the Google Assistant, we recommend the eufy 15C MAX, which is the same vacuum, just with extra smarts.

Wrap-Up

If savings are important to you, the 11S MAX is definitely worth considering for its excellent cleaning performance, its impressive suction, and long-lasting battery.
