My Current Drink Crush: Seedlip Garden 108
Why This Drink Matters: As a major player in the rising wellness-centric sober-curious movement, Seedlip is the world's first nonalcoholic spirit. An alternative to the often carbonated, fruity, or sugary mocktails that bars all too often treat as an afterthought, Seedlip provides a better option for those who choose not to drink.

How We Met: In the agonizing throes of my first attempt at a Dry January. It was really cold. I missed whiskey. I missed him so much. The buzz, the slow burn, all of that. I was on the hunt for a nonalcoholic drink that was more interesting than seltzer or crappy sugary mocktails — but that wouldn't set me back in my sobriety goals.
I went to a local mixology event where Seedlip founder (and nonalcoholic spirits maverick) Ben Branson was geeking out in all his botanical glory, introducing this revolutionary spirit to the U.S. market for the first time. I knew I had to give Seedlip a try.
It all started with Garden 108 — an herbaceous blend that reminded me of gin's botanical structure and aroma with the flavor of garden-fresh sweet peas, basil, and mint — distilled, bafflingly, with no alcohol. I tried it over rocks, topped with sparkling water, in a collins glass garnished with a mint sprig. It was lovely. I was hooked.
Tasting Notes: "Captures the essence of the English countryside," the company aptly claims. Garden 108 is herbaceous and fresh. Peas, hay, rosemary, thyme, spearmint, hops.
