Every year around this time, Krispy Kreme unveils a new batch of spring-inspired mini donuts. In 2020, we got a bunny and flower, and in 2021, we got a blue bird and different flower, among other options. This time around, the minis are even better, because they’re all stuffed with fillings.
Three of the new, limited-edition mini donuts are decorated like Easter eggs that you’d color with your family, so expect lots of pastels and sprinkles. The fourth one looks like a chick, complete with sanding sugar for added texture and sweet taste.
- Mini Chocolate Egg Doughnut: A mini unglazed shell filled with chocolate Kreme, dipped in chocolate icing, and drizzled with light sky blue and yellow icing stripes
- Mini Cake Batter Egg Doughnut: A mini unglazed shell filled with cake batter Kreme, drizzled with three light sky blue stripes, and dipped in mini pastel nonpareils sprinkles
- Mini Strawberries & Kreme Egg Doughnut: A mini unglazed shell filled with white Kreme, dipped in strawberry icing, and sprinkled with pastel sequins
- Mini Chick Doughnut: A mini unglazed shell filled with white Kreme, dipped in yellow icing, half-dipped in white sanding sugar, and decorated like a chick with yellow, orange, and chocolate icing
“Spring in full bloom is the inspiration for our delicious new Spring mini eggs, each one filled with a fun and flavorful little bite of the new season,” Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme chief marketing officer, said in a press release. “These minis will add a basketful of joy to any spring celebration or activity.”
You can get the four mini donuts in a basket-inspired custom box. Each one includes 16 donuts, so you’ll get to try each one. Get them while you can starting on April 4, and prepare to wow your family at your Easter celebration.
