After years of testing truly wireless buds, I didn’t think it was possible to have an affordable pair of earbuds without compromising on style and battery performance, but then I tried out the Soundcore Life P2. With a design that holds its own against much pricier options, these wireless earbuds are absolutely the pick for thrifty shoppers.

SOUND (7/10)
Thanks to audio drivers made from graphene (a lightweight and durable material with excellent acoustic properties) and support for today’s most essential Bluetooth codecs (aptX, SBC, and AAC) for a robust audio transmission, the Soundcore Life P2 earbuds deliver a sonic experience that’s surprisingly balanced. I honestly didn’t expect this from a product that costs as little as $50 — cheap wireless earbuds often hide their acoustic shortcomings behind overwhelmingly powerful bass.
Speaking of bass, the buds deliver a slightly embellished low range, courtesy of Anker’s BassUp technology which enhances the bass without taking a toll on the mids and the highs. I enjoyed it while listening to my favorite downtempo tracks, as well as while gaming on my iPhone 11 Pro.
Compared to pricier products, though, the Life P2 earbuds don’t deliver as many fine details in their sound. This is neither a surprise, nor a dealbreaker, especially considering their price point.
Each P2 earbuds packs a duo of microphones, which makes them plenty reliable for making FaceTime and phone calls.
COMFORT (9/10)
The Life P2 earbuds are impressively comfortable. They come bundled with five sets of ear tips, so everyone will be able to achieve a comfy and secure fit, as well as excellent noise isolation. Each bud has a built-in button for controlling the audio playback, making calls, and accessing your phone’s virtual assistant.
During my testing, I didn’t experience any fatigue even after hours of using the Soundcore Life P2 buds. I also never worried about them falling off my ears, even when exercising.
DESIGN (9/10)
With a matte-black finish and logos with contrasting copper branding, the Life P2 earbuds look a lot more expensive than they are. You'll be hard-pressed to find a more stylish pair of completely wireless earbuds in their price point. I tip my hat to Anker for their design, because combined with their price tag, it will add to your sense that this was money well-spent.
BATTERY PERFORMANCE (9/10)
You can expect up to 7 hours of wireless tunes from the P2 before they need a trip to their charging case. The earbuds performed in line with Anker’s claims while I used them. Their battery endurance, like their design, is worthy of a higher price tag.
The charging case holds almost five additional full charges for a total of 40 hours’ worth of cable independence. My favorite bit about the accessory is that it can get you an hour of playback after only 10 minutes of charging.
OVERALL (8/10)
The Soundcore Life P2 wireless earbuds deliver all the essentials for a great product at an amazing price point. They are surprisingly elegant, comfortable, well-crafted, and enjoyable to rock out with. Overall, this is the best pair of affordable, completely wireless earbuds worth your attention today.
