CES 2020 best new tech products
BestProducts.com

It's the most exciting time of the year for techies: CES.

Held annually in Las Vegas, CES — the Consumer Electronics Show — is the biggest event of its kind, showcasing new products and announcements from the industry giants (think Dell, HP, Samsung) alongside ambitious startups looking to break new ground in the tech world.

The coolest thing about CES is that it's the place where some of the most important consumer technology products of the year make their debut — brand-new TVs, computers, home appliances, you name it. Since the event is held so early in January, it's guaranteed these are the products that'll set the trends for the new year.

The hottest tech industry trends for 2020 are headlined by 8K TVs going mainstream and the cutting-edge Wi-Fi 6 standard becoming more accessible than ever. Of course, Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant were also virtually everywhere. The latest novelties in the computer industry got us plenty excited as well. The desktop and laptop computers of 2020 will be more elegant and compact than ever, while also delivering on hardware specs and essential features. We also saw a ton of nifty smart home gadgets, cool mobile accessories, high-tech products for parents, and connected pet accessories, among many others.

With countless products either on display or being announced, we got to work evaluating them all. We considered design, hardware specs (where applicable), ease of use, and the convenience they'll bring to the prospective consumer’s life. After comparing everything side-by-side, we picked 16 products that excited us most, and ones we think will dominate the market this year.

Best TV: An Unparalleled Display
Samsung Q950TS QLED 8K TV
Samsung

This latest Samsung TV is like an elegantly packaged cinema that fits into your home, packing an unrivaled display and theater-quality sound into a technological work of art.

It wasn't the glorious 8K resolution (that’s four times as many pixels as 4K) nor the feature-packed platform that impressed us most about the Samsung Q950TS TV. No, it was its gorgeously seamless design.

With insanely thin screen bezels, the mind-bogglingly sharp QLED display panel takes up 99% of the TV’s front. The beautifully minimalist stand of the Samsung Q950TS, on the other hand, makes the TV look as if it’s floating in the air.

And then there's the TV’s sonic capabilities, including the ability to deliver an audio experience that tracks the movement of on-screen objects. The Q950TS can also sync with a soundbar to deliver an even more immersive sound.

Samsung will offer the TV with a 65-, 75-, and 85-inch display panel. We don’t know the product’s pricing yet, but it certainly won’t come cheap.
